North Alabama announce signing of Ugandan forward Nkurunungi and goalkeeper Musoke

Two Ugandans; forward Andrew Nkurunungi and goalkeeper Paul Musoke signed for US based North Alabama Sports Club.

North Alabama Sports Club has officially announced the capture of two Ugandans; forward Andrew Nkurunungi and goalkeeper Paul Musoke, among other players

Musoke joins Myles Fullen, a native of Nolensville, TN, formerly at the University of Al-Huntsville.

North Alabama had earlier announced Dutchman Sander Van Der Sluijs, Andres Hernandez (Mexican), Daniel Carranza (Honduras), forward Kyle Simmons (American), Mexican Miguel Tizapa, Bailey Morman, Michael Weston, Kevin Ndongo, Erik Newsom, Piero Salazar, Skyler Schmidt, Kenyan midfielder Felix Obilo (from Bethel University), Tucker Watts, Nate Strouth, Ian Krajna as well as defenders James Fee, Christian Washburn, Eric Besse, Daniel Buchanan, Michael Peralta, and Ethan Wilson.



These are important additions for North Alabama ahead of the 2021 inaugural season in the National Premier Football League (NPFL).

Nkurunungi is a former Sports Club Villa striker who left for the United States of America (USA) early 2010 for study sports scholarship where he successfully completed the Bachelor of Computer Science and MS in Bioinformatics.

In the US, he featured prominently for Alabama A & M University team hitherto tagged as the Bull Dogs as well as Rocket City United.

Nkurunungi was recently appointed a co-coach at North Alabama Sports Club (NASC) Gravity Girls 07 team.

He has college, NPSL, PDL, and professional playing experience and many years of youth coaching success.

For Musoke, he was born in Uganda. In 2006, Paul moved to Huntsville, Al were he played soccer for NCAA D1 school at Alabama A&M for 4 years where he was nationally ranked 21 during his final year as a goalkeeper.

After college, he played for Rocket City United NPSL for two years.

Since his playing days, Paul has converted his passion from playing to coaching and specializes in developing skilled goalkeepers at Precision Goalkeeping Academy.

Nkurunungi and Musoke are among the several Ugandans, many former footballers who are employed in the US with different club football tasks.null

Others are; Wilber Musika, James Ssemambo, Brian Kimbugwe, Edward Katamba, Herbert Tamale, Henry Mpagi (also Director of coaching at Huntsville Soccer Club), among others.
