Nigerian Vice-President on Visit to New York meets UN Deputy Secretary-General

The vice president of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo, has met with the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ms. Amina J. Mohammed as part of his four day visit to the United State.

A readout of the Deputy Secretary-General’s meeting with Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, noted that the the Deputy Secretary-General thanked the Vice President for the visit, conveyed the Secretary-General’s expressed appreciation of the ongoing collaboration between the United Nations and Nigeria.

The Deputy Secretary-General and the Vice President exchanged views on the strengthening of the solid relations between the United Nations and Nigeria on issues ranging from sustainable development.

The vice president had a few days prior held a town hall meeting with members of the Nigeria community in New York were he addressed a range of issues affecting the Nigeria.
