The City Of Memphis To Honour Ghana In A Month-Long Celebration

The Embassy of Ghana is delighted to inform all Ghanaians that the city of Memphis and the Memphis in May International Festival have selected the Republic of Ghana as the country to salute at the 2020 Memphis in May International Festival.

The organizers of the festival together with the Embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integrations, have assembled a comprehensive month-long celebration curated to honour Ghana in the areas of arts, culture, education, entertainment, food, and our people.

Although we are not the first African country to be celebrated, ours come at the right time because it reinforces our democratic credentials, our economic gains, peace and stability, and our outstanding diplomatic profile.

This year’s festival is designed to break cultural barriers, foster a long-lasting relationship between the people of Memphis and the people of Ghana, boost trade and economic relations and open our two borders to cultural and educational exchanges.
