The Ndlovu Youth Choir from Limpopo, South Africa has made it to the finals of America’s Got Talent.
The group received a standing ovation from both judges and the audience after their performance.
This time, the reception was different because it took them to the finals of the competition. After their decision to perform best-selling international songs, the choir have delivered Vicky Sampson’s song, African Dream and other songs.

Their soul-stirring rendition of Ed Sheeran’s Shape of You with Wouter Kellerman last year has amassed over 2 million views on YouTube. It was this performance that shot them to the spotlight. The success gained a music video with Wouter Kellerman, a Grammy Award-winning South African flutist, producer, and composer.
The attention enabled them to land an audition on America’s Got Talent with the World Cup 2010 theme song Waka Waka, which had the audience and judges on their feet.
The group has said there is no turning back, as they have not only wowed to audience and judges at AGT but the world in general. Their spot in the semi-finals got secured after their rendition of the U2 song “Beautiful Day”.
The judges were surprised by how the group managed to merge good vocals with their pace and energetic performance.
Their near-perfect rendition of Steve Winwood’s 1986 hit “Higher Love” booked their spot in the final.
The group deserves all the accolades they get.
The Ndlovu Youth Choir has proven to themselves and the world that indeed “dreams can come true”.
